Ignore all the threads on here about retro-fitting satnavs to the hole in the dash, because yours hasn't got the appropriate hole. Problem is that your screen shows important info about the car, so if you replace it you will lose that.

Not sure what you get on your screen (mine has sat nav) but I thought the basic screen did more than just the radio? Have a look through the handbook, 'cause I may be wrong. If the specialist says he can do it then I'd go along with that, but have him spell out exactly what he will do and ask whether you will lose any functionality as a result. Tbh, fitting a non-Land Rover satnav will give you better functionality (such as speed limit display, regular upgrades) which you don't get from LR.

I havent had anything actually fitted yet but I have spoken to a custom fitter (http://prestige-installs.co.uk/prestashop/) located near me and they have provided me with the following quote breakdown...
