Can't tell you've been to Thailand Laughing

Thread title reminds me of the "Love you Long time" girl from Full Metal Jacket

I wouldn't have though a blank info screen was the sign of an issue starting, could they have turned it off? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If you mean that the odometer had reset itself, that could mean the battery had been disconnected. Do you still have the same engine? Or they could have zeroed it to avoid showing how many miles their boy racers did in it... Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

I hunk the car refused to start after being left and they put on a jump starter to get it going, when my battery is weak it blanks the average mpg trip meter etc.

Maybe it was the result of them hiding the mileage racked up by the 'extreme off-road events' company that they hired it out to for 40 days ! FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

Just had the same problem, blank screen.
Returned today from a week in the Norwegian Fjords from Harwich and had a blank screen. Drove for approx 2 hours and stopped for a bite to eat and to fill up on route to St. Helens, Merseyside and when we returned to the car all worked as it should. No more miles on the clock and it had averaged 30 MPG when I filled it up at the service station. I wonder if it is some kind of power saving thing if the battery goes below a certain voltage?

Pete
