United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame
Power Box 2

Anyone installed this as it claims to increase power, torque and efficiency? I would be interested to know if anyone knows if this is as good as it claims, on sale here: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-LF1095 (if that is ok to post?). It recommends upgrading the filter as well to K&N.

A remap is a much better way of increasing performance/economy. Fitting a box is simply changing signals to ECU, basically telling it lies!!
I am friendly with Motorsport colleagues and competitors many of whom are in motor trade, they all share this opinion.

Most reputable garages who remap offer FREE remap if remap has been deleted at main dealer service/upgrade. All FL2's (3) Gone

The power boxes actually increase the Fuel rail pressure and kid the ECU in to thinking it hasn't.

Increased rail pressure means more fuel so saying it will increase MPG is very suspect, unless it has overcome the laws of physics?!!

K&Ns are, IMO, best avoided. You'd probably notice no difference and they're not MAF meter friendly. Thumbs Up
