Thats what I do with prop and brake carrier bolts. With other bolts I change compression washers or locking nuts (and even these can be used a few times if deemed ok after inspection). For complete security you cant beat a good ol' castellated nut with split pin or bend up locking tabs - all uses extra labour time so garages dont want them. Jules |
