Mine has just started shuddering on shutdown. Booked into Duckworths on Wednesday - throttle body change I think!

Ecu light on? If so would be worth having your codes read or buying a code reader. Part usually Costs around £100. Direct from Landrover was £130 plus vat. I bought a genuine one off eBay.

I agree Boroboy, however as I have a full LR extended warranty, I will let Duckworths do it! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Yes, the Select warranty is a bit limited, the "Approved" warranty is a lot more comprehensive, but costs more! Had three expensive faults covered in the past 12 months, so I have had my money's worth!

Bob, Not forgetting on forums we always hear about the horror stories. Swirl flap breaking off, falling into a cylinder, destroying engine etc. Not the thousands that are out there, had no issues. Not that I'm saying this system is fault free. Landy has now gone. |

If I can change it, most people can. I'm no master mechanic lol More a diy enthusiast. Mainly self taught. Landy has now gone. |

Agreed, although I would be a lot happier without hidden moving parts (that are known to break) in the inlet manifold - recipe for disaster! Bob 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone) 08 FL2 TD4 SE Manual in Rimini Red (Now Gone) |

I replaced the glow plugs a few weeks ago and found that one of the swirl flaps had broken off, fortunately it was stuck in the manifold so I removed all of them and so far no problems and I also have my egr blanked. If I hadnt read about them on here I wouldn't have know to look for them. |
