I have a caravan in storage, there isn't any water in the storage area but there is water on the adjacent campsite. It's a hassle to take the van down to the water as the campsite warden doesn't allow you to use a hose.

There is no reason why not as long as it can pull air into the barrel. |

The barrel isn't air tight, I wasn't sure if the power washer needed to be connected to a tap . I haven't boyght the inverter yet as it's pretty steep cash wise. Don't want to buy it and this idea doesn't work. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

I think Karchers advertise that they can be run from a waterbutt - so you are using a small waterbutt |

Don't think you'll have any problems with the water supply. It's the inverter you should check carefully to make sure it is up to supplying the power that the washer needs. |

After the last hose pipe ban we had, I actually measured how much water I used when using the pressure washer, I was surprised, at the time an ex member washed his with buckets of water and used about twelve buckets, with a propper water meter in the supply line I used 25 litres, a lot less that come one who used a bucket to wash with.

Hi AD , I use showroom shine during the summer , but the van just now is filthy, I like to give it a good hand wash in the spring.

I would check to see if the washer can be powered from an inverter, the motor is a cap start type, with the voltage waveform from an inverter it may well screw the capacitor up. |

It's modified sine wave, the motor will run noisy and hot, the capacitor may well be destroyed, Karcher washers are prone to failing caps, usually because they have been used on extension leads that have not been in wound properly, this acts as an inductor and causes havoc electrically.
