Exterior door trim (sill protector) removal?

Anyone know if the lower door trims are easy to remove? Is there a guide anywhere?
Will it still be weatherproof without them fitted? (I'm thinking of leaving them with a bodyshop to paint)

on the external doors? yes just pull off at the bottom, see if you can get your hand in towards the back. Needs a firm pull.
Car will be weatherproof without them. There are door cavities but they're not sealed so maybe take the time for some dinitrol Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a go!
I'm imagining there'll be little clips that will all snap off when removed?

there's 2, i think, locator pins that don't clip in, and say two rows of half a dozen clips each, 5 inches apart longitudinally, 2 inches vertical displacement or there abouts. It does come, try and take it off evenly so you don't rotate or put a torsion stress on any of the pins Thumbs Up
