Warning - Faulty Tyre Valves

Dear All,
Just a warning to all.
A few days ago had a flat tyre and found it was due to a perished valve.
Checked the other 3 valves and all were exactly the same and gently pushing then to the side caused then to all split.
The tyres and valves were replaced 13 months ago approx. 12,000 miles.

Currently talking to garage that fitted them and others to make people aware to check the valves so will keep you informed of outcome.
The garage offered to fit replacement valves but did say they were out of warranty. That may be so but this is worrying that rubbish valves like this are on the market.
Did some searching on the web and found a couple of isolated instances (inc one mentioned in the forum) but came across a case in the USA back in 2008 there was a recall of 6 million valves that were imported from a chinese manufacturer.

Anyway just a warning to check your valves as frequently as you should check your pressures. But do it where you are not going to be stranded.

Regards
Rob.
