United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HST Manual Stornoway Grey
Mirror Caps (Body coded)

Just fitted some Body Coloured Mirror caps to my new FL2 Stornaway Grey. I think it looks nice although if you have black its bit of a waste of time (thats the cap not the car!!!) Rolling with laughter

Ordered from Duckworth. They come in pack of 2 with a cleaning wipe and instructions. No adhesive supplied however they recommend you use STC 50551. Costs £30 ish from Land Rover dealer (i'm told) but you can get on e-bay for £6 for two tubes!!

The water comes free (and we have plenty of it in Devon at the moment)

Oh yes they look good Thumbs Up Been thinking about getting some fitted to my Stornoway but the Norwegian prices I dare not ask, so I was waiting for my next UK visit or getting some sent over Wink What was the LR price (or did you get them on the cheap) Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Duckworth Land Rover are selling them for £55 + vat plus delivery. The Accessories book shows them at around £71 inc vat, so not much in it really. They are light as a feather so International shipping wont we too much.

Dead easy to fit as long as you have a steady hand and do not rush. Once they are on, they are on for good!

Looks really nice

But i have heard that the Caravan Aero Mirrors won't fit on if I got some Big Cry

I have heard some people use the builders glue called Sticks Like Sh*t as its waterproof and it is really good for this type of thing. Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks - that’s not too expensive for such a BIG improvement Thumbs Up I guess the Norwegian prices will be x4 or something like Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Very nice - hope that the dealer does as good job of fitting mine. 18 days to go!
Surely you didn't fit them in the rain!

2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Got a set in Rimini Red a couple of weeks ago after a van hit my mirror and scuffed the plastic covers.

They make quite a difference to the look of the car.

I had them factory fitted for mine, they really do set the car off!

However scraped one with one of Devons finest dry stone walls and was informed that replacing one would cost a fortune as it is really difficult to remove them plus I would have to buy a pair (?), in the end I opted for a £6.99 touchup pen and it blended in a treat - you would hardly know there was a scratch there! It was the pictures in Shilens gallery that persuaded my that they looked good and that they were'nt just some additional bling.

Slinen's right, there solid and you would probably break them if you tried to remove them.

Need to get a set in Buckingham Blue for the disco now.

Had someone crack the body coloured wing mirror casing on a BMW 3 series that I had 5 yeara ago, it was much easier to replace being clip on (but were so solid I thought they were glued on!) Was amazed when I was told a replacement one would cost £36 (yes I didnt have to buy the pair) although I almost fainted when they said it would cost £186 to spray it to the body colour!!! If removing them i think you could get away with the old hairdryer and some dental floss to cut the glue Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
