United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver
My 2008 HSE

Taken winter wheels off and put on summertyres with new alloys. I have kept to the same size(18"),as the original tyres still have plenty of life left in them.I may go up to 19" or 20" at a later date.
I have changed all the interior lights with LED's, but only changed puddle lights and rear numberplate lights,so far.
Also changed side repeaters to clear - such a subtle difference.
After hearing all the horror stories, with regard to huge repair bills, I have decided to spend the money on an extended warranty instead. Sensible head taken over!
Next job:replacing wheel arch protectors.
More to come, but not sure as to what to do next.Possibly colour-coding?
Don't want to do too much, but who knows.

Looks similar to mine, Zermatt silver too.
Looking to get our rear windows tinted too. I reckon colour-coding the lower door trims makes one of the biggest differences, really makes the car look more modern. I'm facelifting my front bumper (eBay £135, plus painting, fogs and fog surrounds) hoping to colour code the sides (paint cost) and possibly using black vinyl to black out the gap between rear windows (£10 hombase!!)

Colour-coding the lower body trim sounds like a good idea,as I have noticed that (whilst replacing the wheel arch protectors)that the wheelarches are starting to rust. It's not serious yet, but getting it all done in one go would be beneficial.
Also, when funds allow, I am toying with colour-coding the mirrors and door handles.I am in no rush to carry out any mods, as I shall be keeping my car for the next 3 years or so.

The previous owner fitted colour coded handles and mirror to ours. I don't know anything about it myself, whether they were a kit or a bodge, but it looks like the mirrors have coloured coded caps stuck on them. Not sure if it's modified mirror casing from a late model, or a kit

They're probably stick-ons.That's exactly what I'm looking at.I've seen some online that appear to be of good quality, but I am a little concerned about the long-term durability.

I got my full size stick on mirror covers from powerfuluk online. Seem to be good quality abs lasting with 3m tape and silicon glue to fix them. So far doing good.
The genuine caps from LR are also stick on but twice the cost.
Powerful also do door handles and lots of other stuff too.

That's the company I was thinking of, but wasn't sure if I could name them on here.Which do have,colour-coded or chrome?I have also looked at their rear LED lights.

Without wishing to denigrate Powerful UK in any way, I bought a pair of perfect condition LED rears for less than 1/2 their price from an ebay LR parts supplier. Very easy DIY fit too.

Have since bought a pair of shiny brand new RHD/UK DRL with signature (halogen) for £150 from same supplier.

I went for the full colour coded mirror caps, gloss black side vents and rear roof spoiler which is being sprayed up next week. All from powerful UK and all seem pretty good quality so far. I've not had anything electrical off them so can't comment on quality of that.

I think that colour-coded is the way for me too.I don't want bling, but each to their own.
I will check out rear LED lights though. Thanks for your help.
