Defender 110

been having MAD thoughts about advertising my fl2 for swop defender 110
This has been the most reliable car I've had and so nice to drive

How badly would I regret it , wot to do, wot to do,

depends if you enjoy actually driving on a proper road lol
And 110 prices are over inflated for the reliability that they offer, and actual performance.

Basically I reckon they're superb 5% of the time and absolutely useless the rest of the time... wipers are useless, heater is naff, they're slow, heavy, cumbersome, wipers are useless, no climate control, rust terribly.
Do look good though... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Oh and also you'd end up with like a vehicle a decade older for the same money...

If you get a good one you won't regret it. Thumbs Up

However if you get a duff one you'll be crying all the way to the bank. Big Cry

my brother had an ex police 90 and then an ex forestry commission 110 SW. Both appeared in really nice condition and the 90 was. The 110 was good for the 3 years he owned it but then due to being off road in the forests the chassis rails and under floor were packed solid with peat, which being acidic rusted the floor pan horrendously. Minimum £1000 to fix as the roof needed lifting off to lift the rear floor out.

Other than that it was noisy, steamy, cold, cramped in the middle row seats, leaky door seals, crap headlights............ and he loved it more than any other car he's owned Rolling with laughter

Always put a smile on his face when he drove it and got lots of waves off other defender drivers

Rolling with laughter here's a much better idea: keep your fl2, buy a 97 landcruiser 80 for 3k, it won't break so much and it actually is very good. the wipers work too which is handy on thisblustery island of ours Rolling with laughter

I can't cope with a defender- sometimes it's nice actually being able to overtake george's tractors, and I can't run three cars just for fun lol.
