Door Hinge Pin Lubrication at service time

Does anybody know the construction of the Door Hinges? are they sealed for life?
years ago with other cars after a car came back from service there was oil dribbling at the hinge pins; I also run a Vauxhall Meriva A and yearly I remove the top pin plastic cap and squirt oil in as its steel against steel and they wear and seize if not attended to.
.
So for the Freelie, do we need to apply external oil hoping it penetrates in?
.

When I was working and had company cars, each service the car came back with white grease aerosoled over the hinges. I cannot see how that could penetrate and creep into the hinge pin, I rather think it was a cosmetic pictorial effect to make the customer believe that his car had been properly serviced.
.
My question still remains, exactly what is the mechanical build of a Freelander 2 hinge pin and bushes?
.
Kind regards from Fred.

England

White Lithium Grease, spray it on, it sets and does little else, good at protection and keeping water out, I suppose.
It's good on the surfaces you can see or get at though Thumbs Up
