Haven't noticed any juddering but the auto changedown can at times be a little severe, especially in a quick reduction of speed as in approaching a roundabout. Also as it learns your driving style you may have been a bit adventurous in your driving and the quick changedowns are reflecting your driving style. |

Agree with the severe change downs. I don't drive particularly spiritedly, I had always accepted it was a feature of the gearbox, one I hope is not present in the newer ones. |

I wonder if the changedowns (which I have also noticed) are to do with maintaining control off road. Previous autos I have had have been much keener to freewheel, but of course a freewheeling car is less under control. Also of course, by changing down in a timely way the car is ready to go when you accelerate, rather than having to change first.
