Like Lightwater its the ecotaxes abroad the drive the need for the ingeniums. An SD4 now attracts 3600 euros 'malus' in France on top of VAT and registration - whereas based on the evoque CO2 figures this would be 0 and back in line with German competitors. That's why I'll be hanging on another year before replacing any of my freelies.

They do though Taz. The only reason a V6 sounds like it does is because of the odd firing sequence of the cylinders. The new 3 cylinder engines have the same firing sequence. So this gives a V6 type sound.
