special programmesworking but reduced engine management

So latest is drove it for 25 miles and stopped and restarted and hey presto special programmes now working BUT worse still reduced engine performance now flashed up and is not going away. Drove it another 24 miles back performance like a dog, tried unlocking/locking etc. Back on previous reply Battery does not not updating on ECU since this is 2007/8 model pre that change.
Maybe try battery disconnet/reconnect see if that clears it. Also this is a brand new battery only 4 months old

Try searching for additional earth lead as this may be required as the symptoms sound familiar. Or check your earth lead from the battery. I may have remembered it incorrectly but this sounds familiar to other posts I have read. Good luck!

This Was Failed Throttle Pedal Sensor LR031902 RHD Manual

Should trust my fault code reader since got worried and took it into the dealer and for £90 they got the same fault turns out to
be the Accelerator Throttle Sensor which has failed having said that no dealer has the part and will have to order cost quoted for fitting a £50 part plus labour £150 for which i reckon takes 10 mins plus removing fault code tops must be 20mins.
Whole unit the Pedal and sensor combined in one latest part no for Manual RHD is LR031902 but easy replacement just remove three nuts unplug and plug new one back and hopefully delete faut code with my reader. Then go for a massage after your back has been contorted into unatural positions Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Worth noting this does give you HDC faults as well as reduced engine performance and boy do you know when it drops to 20mph but stop/restart and it chugs back up to 50mph Big Cry Big Cry

Picking the part uo tomorrow so will hopefuly be sorted Rolling with laughter
