Does anybody know what it means to have "humidity control" in the rear view mirror? for 2013-2015 LR2s this is is an HSE Lux option to get auto-dim with humidity control, yet humidity control for the A/C (climate control) is standard. Is there some reason for there being two humidity sensors? Some reason why the mirror benefits from a humidity sensor? I installed one that has it in place of the base model (original had a void where it was supposed to be). I'm just curious if there is anyway that I can tell that my car is actually using the new humidity sensor in the mirror by knowing what it is actually supposed to do.

Does it just augment the standard A/C sensor?

Yet here it states humidity sensor is standard for climate control:

One says Humidity Sensor and one says Humidity Control, on the lux, there is an automatic control of the air re circulation system from the button shown below, the additional sensor may be part of that system?

Not sure about the auto re-circulation, all the documentation seems to suggest the re-circ is to do with air quality not necessarily humidity. I read that as it will go from fresh air to auto re-circ if I drive through smoke from a bonfire or sit behind a stinky diesel I'm beginning to think these things are getting too clever for their own good. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

It does indeed alter the fresh air coming into the cabin, it also acts on the air quality within, humidity is part of the quality, i think the air quality sensor is outside of the cabin, it was just a thought thrown into the ring.

Great info! Where did you get that PDF??? It appears that by installing the humidity sensor mirror the computer you gain that capability, just a question of whether or not the computer needs a tune to recognize the input.
