How do you rate them?

Good in the mud? Wear rate on Tarmac? Noise? Braking? Any noticeable loss in fuel? Black FL2

What wheels do you have them mounted to?

Thanks

They've not been fitted that long, maybe a month so don't have that much feed back.

MPG wise I've noticed no difference at all compared with the GY wrangler HP's fitted before and only the slightest increase in noise although no body else has noticed so I would say negligible.

On the road I would say they are no worse unless you are going too fast around a wet greasy roundabout. To me they car feels better more sure footed and they ride is more compliant or comfy. Pressures are 30psi or under.

As for mud/offroad I've not used AT tyres before so cant compare to any others but they are a lot better then the wranglers as you'd expect and I worry less about getting stuck.

They are fitted to standard 17" GS alloys (07). I had consider getting 18" Evoque alloys and 255/60/18 AT3.
The 255's don't rub on the struts but I do get a slight rubbing with full lock and articulation. I've not looked where the rub yet but had considered using 5mm wheel spacers and seeing how the car feels, I'll let you know if I get some.

This is what I am thinking of buying

Loads of good reviews:

http://www.4x4review.com/cooper-tire-discoverer-at3-and-stmaxx/

http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/wheels-t...re-review/

What interests me is the fact they have snipes so should be better in the snow, Similar to the Toyo Open Country AT.

Looking at the My Tyres review and comparing to the Grabber AT they Cooper seem to do better in snow

Not a brand I have seen before they seem a decent price if they perform as they say.

I've put 245/70r17 Cooper AT3' s on. No (noticed) loss in mpg. No extra road noise. More sure footed. No rubbing. Spare fits in the well.

Not had them laning yet but very good in snow & ice.

And they give the car a much nicer stance. (IMHO)

However they are about £35 per tyre more than the 235/65x17

I used to have an L200 warrior and the stock wheels are 16" and lots of people use the coopers which I think is why they are cheaper as they are a very common size and probably more are sold/imported in this size Black FL2

A friend of mine uses these tyres (although maybe not that exact size) on his 110. Apparently they are not good on mud and he gets stuck a lot when towing his sheep trailer off-road.

But I guess you won't be doing too much of that ...
