You need one of these, its based on an old Toyota pickup. We went to Botswana last year and got driven around in one. It's old technology but used day after day and the nearest garage is a couple of hundred miles away so gets fixed by the locals. The passengers sit on the top to get a better view but we were often told to lift your feet up and remove anything off the floor as it would get wet. The driver often had to get out and empty the water out of his shoes.

From a post on the Landroversonly.com forum it looks as if the diff breather exits behind the Uk near side rear wheel.

I just asked terrafira on there face book page if they do a snorkel for the fl2
Wouldn't it be good if they come back and said there in the pipe line

Whatever they come up with will have to replace everything from the wing vent to the top of the air filter box. The duct from the wing vent has fabric sections and there is a drain in the bottom of the air box that is only valved by a rubber disc, not a float valve as in the FL1.

Already sealed the drain hole👍
As I understand it behind the wing is plastic
I will remove the wing and seal all joints, if the snorkel still uses that route
I have been thinking off making my own

How did you seal the drain hole? epoxy? And concerns that you might have at the moment for not having the ability to drain water that has got in? This obviously wouldn't be of concern with the snorkel, but in the mean time...

What about this 'permeable' aspect of the intake mentioned?

I can't get my head around the lack of demand for a snorkel so far amongst the owners. Is everyone just buying a disco instead, because it seems to me that some small mods would give most of the abilities and yet cost much less than the disco.

I used the top off bubble bath bottle filled with CT1 I pulled the rubber from the bottom off air box then pushed on the bottle top, from underneath
If I go deep afterwards I can use a sponge to remove Walter
Intake mentioned ? Are we talking about the standard one, if so iMO it will seal up ok
I agree about a few mod and it would be great

Very good Smile

Yeah I can't understand why any of the intake is fabric, is it to draw water out before the filter? If not, or if we could put a small high flow filter in line before the filter element then replace the fabric with any old bit of plastic pipe Smile

What are your thoughts regards the making of a snorkel so far?
