Jeep cherokee, Trailhawk and new Renegade

I was at the NEC this WE, visiting the motor home show ( dont ask!)

Whilst I was there, I spotted some eye candy

1 x Cherekee
1 x Cherekee Tralhawke
1 x Renegade

I had been considering the Cherekee as a replacement for the FL2
that is, until I sat in it. There is no headroom. I am 6.1 and was brushing the ceiling, even SWMBO noticed
However the Renegade had loads of head room, I guess 3-4" more then the FL2

The trailhawk looks good, with its raised ride height, and different bumpers to improve
attack angles etc. Sadly only available in Petrol.

Looking at the Renegade, I would say it is crying out for a new Defender to come on the market to compete against it.
From the prototypes I've seen, the new Defender looks better.

Did they not can the defender/DC100 prototype and start again? not seen anything new in a while.

As for the Renegade, looks like something a 10 year old would draw and it looks like its made of plastic . Reminds me of the car Walt White drove in Breaking Bad, same design team?

the looks, especially the front are an acquired taste.

that said, its off road ability, internal space - especially headroom, fuel economy
and cost to purchase are all things not to be ignored.
