It's a "statistical" question or do you need someone to "physically" help you with something on your car? |

Was trying to determine which JLR SDD version would have the CCF files to work with MY 2013.The latest V135 from Topix I am sure would .The cost of a subscription even for a day is expensive with this version. There a number of older versions available for offline usage, but wasnt sure from which version the MY2013 CCF files were available.Have since done more research and found answers.Just to enable towing module at this stage. |

If the installed SDD version doesn't have the needed files, it will try to connect with the factory server and bring/download the necessary files.

I got a 138 JLR, no problem use it on MY2013. The newest version is 139: http://www.uobd2.net/wholesale/jlr-mongoos...rover.html |

I believe some members here use mongoose and will be along with advice, but the first link you put up doesn't cover Freelander 2 according to the link. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Rhysw, be careful with mongoose cables, a lot are copies that sell cheap. New ones are a couple of hundred pounds. |

Thanks Lad. Both of the cables linked probably fall into the 'copies' category. I noticed that some had used the version from uobd2 but wondered if anyone had used the British Diagnostics version. |

I bought the 'Mangoose' Pro from UOBD2. Mine came with V138 although it looks like they come with V139 now.

I've no idea how true it is but I have seen it said that with many electronics items being manufactured in China one of the ways they keep manufacturing costs down is that the production run will be for a greater number than requested, the extras being sold off through companies like UOBD2. What you're buying is actually the real thing, just not via Mongoose themselves. |
