Just a quick follow on from my earlier DLR thread, which was primarily to ask about the potential MPG benefit compared to normal headlights.

It seems there has been various campaigns running, most notably http://www.lightmare.org/ , which want to ban the use of DLR's as well as the ultra bright Xenon headlight bulbs.

Just wondered if the rush to get these latest gizmos has got out of hand and will result in eventual MOT failures if regulations have to be brought in to control the market.
