creaking

Some persistent creaking from the driver's door. Sounds like a couple of chafing surfaces inside the skin. How easy is it to remove the door skin & sort this kind of thing? Any risks? Or gotchas? ...

The interior door card is quite easy to remove - to allow you to see if you can see a problem.

Seem to recall there is a guide in how to replace a door mirror mounting.

Goes something like, undo the screws holding on the door handles.
Gently prize off the door card from the door - it's held on by plastic clips which break quite easily so do it gently and use a screwdriver or similar. Disconnect electric windows and speakers and remove door card.

Replacement is the reverse.

Door itself will be protected by a plastic sheet which you may need to cut and then reseal later with duck tape or similar.
