United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HST Manual Stornoway Grey
I'm changing my XS for an SE

After 15mths of pleasure I am having another FL2. The opportunity has come up for an SE with full leather seats in Stornaway Grey with full sports body kit!

Yes I know I have only just put a spoiler on my XS but I felt the need for a Sun roof and that Sat Nav lady to talk me through the traffic Jams on the M5 during the Summer months when all those C C C C C C Caravans head our way.

I've taken the Exhaust trim off and kept it safe in case anyone wants it?

Having spent an age fitting numerous LED's I have stripped the XS and look forward to dressing my SE with its new lights.

I'll post some picks of my new beast once the DVLA have robbed me of my £80 and switched my plate across. Thumbs Up

My new SE is a Used vehicle from Land Rover UK. Has 9000 miles on clock (my XS has 26,000) and is 6mths newer. Stornway Grey would be my second choice behind Silver (and black of course CG!)

Tail trim was fitted on 3rd July 2007 (see my gallery) and yes is for Diesel. I will post some pics of its current cond which is as new apart from smutt which will clean up. I have original invoice which cost me £90. Quite heavy so if anyone on Hols in Devon and wants it could arrange pick up or could post at cost. Offers invited!

Picture below of my new baby's bottom, just of the transporter. Will post some pics when I take delivery and change those yuk indicators (and number plate of course!)

I also chose Stornoway - doesn't the rear handle look so much better when it matches?... and you only get that with Stornoway.

As you see from my signature box, I also wanted the sun roof and, as I already had my Garmin Quest GPS, it made sense to stay XS and add to it a bit rather than puch up to SE. Nobody could find an ex-demo for me though Surprised(

Enjoy!

Conversely all the black bits LR couldn't be bothered to paint all match up nicely with Black paint Laughing

So PA51 ELY (or GRA51ELY from now on Laughing ) If you have an SE with a body kit does that mean you have a HST?

Also you need privacy glass in my opinion to stop the rear window looking like a porthole Whistle At work

That is a very good obersvation my little Chicken Buddy.

It is effectivly a HST but without the following

19inch Wheels
Privacy Glass
A huge mark up on the ask price!

I had a quote of £2k for the wheels if I wanted them. Rolling with laughter

Thinking of the Body coded Mirror caps. Around £60 but not sure how they fix on. Probably via that magic 3M tape!

She has arrived, after the usual DVLA "give us £80 and we will make you wait a week" run around I picked her up Yesterday. The Body coloured mirror caps have arrived in the post this morning from Duckworth so will fit soon.

First job when I got her on my drive was to remove her Orange earings and replace with the clear ones. Ahhhh

Some picks for you. I'll take some at night for CG so it looks Black!

So near but not quite right ah yes wrong colour Laughing

The Fl2 looks wider than your garages does it fit? I have to fold my mirrors to get into mine, although if I drive particularly well it will just fit in with the mirrors out. At work

CG, she does fit into the garage but only with mirrors folded, radio off and focused concentration. I have a total of 50mm clearance, ie 25mm each side!!

Never knocked her yet! Thumbs Up

The transformation is complete!

Mirror caps fitted and finally now that my front n/s suspenstion strutt has been replaced !!! (knock knock joke coming later) , the 19inch Shadow Chrome wheels have been added.

I'm pleased with the final result.
