I am one of the loudest complaining people here about the new Disco Sport

I've just ordered brand new Freelander2 Si4 HSE !!!
This is the one of a few Freelanders left in the Poland.
It might be the last HSE in Poland. Not HSE Lux/Metropolis available.
Santorini black exterior and Almond interior.
Made in 2014, showroom car, brand new, no mileage, warranty will start after acquisition.
5 years of warranty in Poland. Have got good discount.
Polish HSE specs plus Cold Climate Package, Black windows, Bluetooth, Spare wheel included, etc.

Please congratulate!!!


I guess it will drink any amount of fuel but will give much fun to the new owner

Acquisition in a few months, must end the term financing of my old Freel.

Is a 5 year warranty normal for LandRovers in Poland?

We have 5 years warranty
It concerns all Land Rovers, Range Rovers and Jaguars purchased since August 2011.

I think it's releated to the poor opinion about JLR's cars reliability in the Poland.
Warranty is limited to 150.000 kms of mileage.

I guess the price of cars and service is higher than in the UK but need to compare local taxes to have view about real profit of JLR.

The reliability reputation isn't very good here either.

Why LR didn't offer the Si4 in the UK I'll never know. I have driven one and it is just fantastic, the power and torque along with the smoothness just suits the Freelander 2 perfectly.

I had test drive and what Mav71 said is true.
Also there is very quiet in the cabin when traveling gently with speeds under 80km/h or when idle. In that conditions Freelander Si4 isn't louder than Evoque Si4. I am not sure what about noise at highway speeds, if more quiet than my FL2 TD4. Had a litte off road too and it was pleasure to have combination of silence and nature behind the windows.

I really don't understand JLR policy in the UK nevertheless this is native country for Land Rovers. I must to say that we not only have Si4 engine in Freelander but We could order Disco Sport with 5 seats only just now.

But there is no Land Rover Experience in Poland. Not sure about the past, but a few years ago I asked salesman about this and he said "there are no takers".

I guess sales of Si4 in Poland were better than TD4 because tax is lower and Si4 car is the same price or a little cheaper.
Excise for cars w/ engines above 2.0Liters is much higer than below 2.0 liters.
As far as i know There is no matter about horse power and emission when calculating Polish tax for a car.
So if the car company has 2.0L or lower capacity strong engines this company is the winner

Well done pporocki - hope that turns out to be a great car for you. The warranty deal is excellent. Sadly the LR sales model in the UK is centered on customers leasing cars for up to three years, not on customers buying a car and keeping if for more than three. That way Landrover can warranty the cars for three years and thereafter out of warranty costs are borne by subsequent owners when the cars are passed off through the trade. Little incentive for Landrover to make their cars reliable or durable once they are more than three years old as customers bear the costs. 5 year warranties (or more) are however offered by some of the competitors........ Landrover seem to have no interest in matching those.

There has to be more to it as to why they won't sell them here. Just last week, a UK Trader was offering a brand new unregistered SE spec Si4 Freelander in Mauritius Blue on Auto Trader with a warning that it HAD to be exported, and was not allowed to be used on UK roads. Perhaps the vehicle has failed UK type approval somewhere along the line? Foraging near Gaydon....
