Wrangler worn out, replace or something different?

I know its an endless question really but my Wrangler HP AW tyres are getting down to 3-4mm so looking to replace them. What I would really like is some Grabber GTs having used the the now defunct UHP on a previous 4x4 and been pretty impressed with them on the road in all road conditions and off road on muddy farm tracks etc. The GT is advertised as road only but I suspect like the UHP it will be not too bad in mild offroad conditions and a few reviews on here and elsewhere seem to suggest this is the case.

My question simply put is: Are Wrangler HPs bolted to a Freelander really going to take me, or more importantly get me out of, anywhere that a set Grabber GTs wouldn't.

Any opinions gratefully received.

Thanks, I am also capable of using the search facility and have already seen all the previous threads on the Grabber GT, was hoping for some fresh comment.

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

I just bought my first set of Michelin Lattitude Cross. Very pleased with them so far - quiet, sure footed and plenty of grip in the bit of snow we had. I hope they will give a decent mileage. John
