Went to watch my team Stoke City go 1-4 down to Man City.
Not good.
On the way home, got stuck behind a tow truck towing an Arriva bus and some stupid road cones took me the wrong way down the M54. At the next junction, I couldn't get back on the Mway cos it was coned off. Had to use the old A5.
So, after leaving the home, some eight and a half hours later I arrived back home.
Waiting was a bottle of Valpolicella, some crumbly mature Cheddar cheese and crackers, two 'pleased to see me' border Collies and MOTD recorded on the hard drive.
Simple things like that make life so enjoyable.

Had two large glasses, lovely.

Got to say ahhhhh? If I got back after a long day watching my team get hammered and getting lost and the wife had recorded it for me to watch all over again, she'd be the one going Aaaaarrggghhh when she felt the back of my hand!
