Have a problem here. So I nailed down exactly the LHD satin silver trim pieces I need thanks to Paul and lrparts.ru, I located the following part #s:

LR008248 (Finisher - GloveBox trim LHD)
LR008254 (Insert (small piece to right of wheel in LHD))
LR008240 (The switch assembly bezel to left of wheel in LHD))

Everything looked great and then..

Parts.com flat out cancelled my order (I assume because some part #s did not exist anymore) so I placed one on BritCar and they are telling me that:

Part number LR008240 AND LR008254 both supersede to the following range of part #s:

lr0022177 x1
lr022109 x1
lr022183 x1
lr02218 x1
lr022109 x1
lr022177 x1
lr022183 x1
lr022109 x1

What the heck is going on here? I'm just looking for the LHD version of all 3 trim pieces in satin silver.

Gundalmu, where you able to find and buy LR008254? I tried ordering it from brit-car and they are saying it is superseeded and all the new part numbers are not satin silver.

United States 2008 LR2 i6 SE Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi bobby23,
I'm afraid i can't bring you good news. I also tried to buy it from the brit-car. I firstly ignored the RHD problem and ordered the LR008256, obviously it couldn't fit. So i asked for a replacement and they said they would sent me a LR008254.
Through pics you can find what they sent me is actually a LR022183, instead of a LR008254. Their website shows the LR022183 was superseded by LR008254, but actually these two parts have totally different pattern, although they look alike. Then I google the LR022183, and recognize that looks like all LR008254 are superseded by LR022183. That's why we can't find it.
I'm going to contact the brit-car tomorrow to see if i can find some other solutions.

That is exactly what I thought was going to happen Sad...my order with brit-car is currently on hold while I figure it out...it appears they do not make normal satin silver anymore in the two parts by the steering wheel but brit-car does have it for the glovebox:

http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/1527...eelander_2

I know what you mean about the color difference, the LR022183 is of the "metal wave veneer" that apparently replaced "satin silver". Bottom line, I don't think we can find satin silver in those parts anymore, but apparently some still stock the glovebox one? I'm actually trying to retrofit these to a 2014 LR2 which has the same pieces (same size, etc) but it looks like LR stopped making the satin silver finishers in 2012 when they upgraded the look for 2012-2015. If you buy a new LR2/FL2 they all seem to have that horrible fake wood trim with an optional "silver package" that I think add the "metal wave veneer" trim, but nothing seems to match the actual console satin silver. Very odd choice by LR, I think its a problem they created when they upgraded only part of the interior for 2012-2015.

I found the same part you got LR022183 on ebay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FREELANDER-2-DAS...1300264228

At a glance it looks like satin silver, but up close I do see the pixels you are talking about. Apparently there is a large difference between "satin silver" and "metal wave". Since it does not look like I have many options with satin silver anymore, does the "metal wave veneer" piece you got match the silver on the shifter/console control areas at all? Is it that noticeably different?

Sorry you were the guinea pig with this, but it appears we are stuck. Only the "satin silver" part numbers were superseded and they look to be superseded with different colros :/

I feel like the LHD aluminum trim kit has the parts I need but is the switch piece seems to be missing something. LR005036 appears to still be sold but obviously I cant use most of the parts in the kit on a 2013-2015.
