A young lad I know has not long been driving. He has his rear window covered in stickers. One of them, and that is one of the milder ones, is sticker of a couple having a 69 with the words 'Come dine with me' underneath it. Certainly catches the eye! It's a wonder he has not been rear ended (pardon the pun) with people being distracted reading them.

I used to have one of those sun strips that said 'Support Mountain Rescue - get lost'. When I had a blow out and ended up on the roof in the middle lane of the A2 the insurance company paid out. But that was 35 years ago.

Down here we don't need car registration stickers any more as the police have cameras on the cars and their computers are continuously checking registration via number plates. A bit 1984!

But we do need parking stickers for our local council area otherwise I can only park for 2 hours in the street & second sticker for parking in other spots in our suburb. So that is 2 for a start.

A lot of cars have more parking stickers for work, and other regularly visited locations. All these are to be on the windscreen.

Also need an E-tag (electronic tag) if we ever want to use a road with a toll or Sydney Harbour bridge/tunnel.

A fair bit of lost windscreen real estate. Most people don't like it as it reduces visibility out the front of the car! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I'm with the insurance company.
As DIGNITAS has adopted the pneumonic FREEL the insurers are worried people will intentionally crash in order to end it all, especially with an election looming.

Unfortunately I dont put stickers in my car anymore.

I was a member of BASC and it seems that the law is always on the side of any antihunting thug that sees your sticker.

Apparently it is quite acceptable to damage someones car displaying a BASC sticker. I guess being ignorant and opinionated gives you the right to damage someones property even if what they actual do is good for the country side ( and the wildlife ).

So I can see why the insurance companies are being careful.
