United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Orkney Grey
old high spec or newer low spec

Both vehicles same mileage, about 60K. One is Black 07 SE the other is Grey 09 GS. Both have full service history. Both very similar condition

So which to buy

What is the price difference in them both?

Are they dealer cars or privately owned?

Do you know what life have they led? MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I took the older vehicle as it is a HSE with all the bits on, which were important for me, but each to their own. Yes I think service history is important and how well it has been looked after.

Yep, the more things you have the more there is to go wrong and just like anything the older it is the more risk you are at of something going wrong. Like I say, go into it with your eyes open and horses for courses.

Have they both had the same amount of owners ? Was either the vehicles demo cars ? If so I'd personally avoid the demo like the plague as they are driven hard ... MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver

I had the choice of two cars when I bought mine, HSE and a newer GS. Similar milage both warranted from LR.

I was advised on the HSE as it had a full size spare wheel and more toys. After going back some time later with a knackered tyre the salesman looked very smug, ( See, told you you would need that spare).

I think I would have missed the auto wipers and dimming mirror etc had I bought the lower spec and hopefully the resale should be a little better.
