2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Indus Silver
Bluetooth and Phone Settings

I've got a 57 plate FL2 which has Bluetooth connectivity. I paired it to my Nokia Lumina 625 with no trouble. For some unknown reason it now won't connect and doesn't recognise that the phone was paired in the first place. In addition. the settings (Dialled calls, missed calls, received calls, phone settings etc) have all got lock symbols against them. Nothing happens when I try to activate any of the settings. Anyone got any ideas?

I have a very similar problem. Picked up my 2nd hand FL2 today (07 plate) and all the phone menu items have a lock symbol against them, meaning I can't delete the previous user's phones to make space to pair my own. How do you unlock those menus? I can't find anything about it in the manual...

No - just been sitting in the car on the drive trying to understand what's going on. And failing! Thanks for asking - any advice very welcome.

REMOVING A TELEPHONE FROM THE SYSTEM
1. Select the telephone main menu.
See BLUETOOTH SETUP (page 98 ).
2. Select Bluetooth, then select the option to
remove a telephone.
3. Select a telephone by rotating the ENTER
button, highlight the telephone to be
removed then press the ENTER button. A
confirmation message to remove a
telephone will appear on the audio unit
display, press the ENTER button.
4. The remove telephone screen will be
displayed, and if no further telephones are
to be removed, press the EXIT button.

Well, back in from the drive again - with good news, but feeling a bit confused because I don't really know what solved it. What can deduce is that the lock symbols appear on all menus items apart from the Bluetooth one when there is not an active paired phone. Somehow, and this is the bit I couldn't work out, the previous list of phones disappeared. My iPhone 6 was very reluctant to pair - the first two attempts found no phones, but third time it popped up, asked me to put in a PIN and all is now well. The lock symbols have disappeared, my phonebook has downloaded and it all works!

Thanks both for your help and hopefully the above might be of slight use to someone else!
