^ I think it's bad for the centre of one of the busiest cities in the world. It takes a fair amount of heavy snow to have any effect on the main roads of Derby let alone NYC.

I dare say that the quiet suburbs on the north east coast get a right old dumping. The team of workers getting stuck into the clearing effort makes a difference. They'd be too busy filling in health and safety forms in the UK to get stuck in like that. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I have been chatting to collegues in and around New York, the snow was not as bad as expected but the public transport systems are all shut down and all private cars are off the road, so most are hiding under their duvets.
