London Motor Show Report

Report from the London Motor Show

Interesting developments for the next generation of LR owners;

Land Rover are presenting a new innovation that it hopes will significantly reduce the CO2 output and fuel consumption of its future vehicles.

They are currently testing a diesel hybrid system. Not only will it improve Land Rover’s green credentials by around 25%, the system’s electric motor would also provide more torque when off-road.

Also shown was the eTerrain package of efficiency improvements, incorperating a stop/start system that will be introduced next year.

Although LRX production is not officially confirmed, it was felt that Land Rover would be foolish not to build it. Expect to see one on the road by late 2010

I guess its been mentioned else where....but it looks like the "current/next" FL2 (As displayed at the LMS) comes with the clear side repeaters, and a 12V supply in the boot....

The Lotus stand did have its share of busty-wenches..... '57 FL2 GS

Hi mburton2,

Can you tell me where you bought the LED indicator bulbs and did you need to fit anything in the circuit to stop them flashing at silly speeds?
Thanks in advance. FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

Shunt resistors currently used....see page 5 of this thread: (About half way down tells you where to connect the shunts)
http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic759.html?...p;start=60

Hope that helps!

NOTE:
Some of the links in the thread above are dead, as Robert at ultraleds have changed some of his products. I have recently bought some LED Lamps from E-bay (For the trailer etc), and they do the job well.....just note that you need off-set pins on the indicator-lamps....and I would suggest ones htat have leds facing straig out the top, AND around the sides...this gives better illumination.

eBay Item No. 180271086796 or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...26_fvi%3D1 are suitable

with these shunts: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...26_fvi%3D1 '57 FL2 GS

Guess someone wasn't that impressed with the Lexus concept car!

I thought it was quite funny but if this offends anyone, let me know and i'll remove it!
