Hid Conversion Problems, please help!

Hello guys, I am running thru a few problems here, I bought 3 plug n Play Hid conversion kits, obviously one H7 for high beams one h7 for low beam and one h11 for foglights. My kits are the ones that the ballasts goes between the original wiring and the hid bulb without running leads to the battery. And the problems I faced so far were: Parking sensor goes nuts when the foglights are on (wtf?!?! I did not mess with the parking wires, what I do think is that the ballast is not shielded enouth and the high voltage in it is making the sensor beep like crazy) and the other problem is that the Low beams only works with the engine shut off... If I turn the lights on with the engine running it will flash the lights for a second or two, sometimes up to 10 sec then It shuts them off. With the engine off, I can leave them on for as long as I want. Any Ideas?!?! These cars with tons of chips and computers sometimes get me crazy!

Thanks!

You might try resistor between + and - to simulate load of a hilogen bulb on the system.
the car "thinks" your low beam is shorted out and the computer eliminates the shorted circuit by not supplying any voltage to it. HID lights have very low resistance.

I would suggest your dealer need to recode your cars software so it knows it has the new lights? At work

is it a third party HID conversion or a LR conversion? If third party then it would be up to them to sort it out, rather than LR. Phil

HID

It is a third party conversion, LR is too expensive!! I might try the Resistor too, and heard about shielding the cables with some kind of voltage insulation tape to solve the parking sensor issue.

I already removed the hids and will be replacing them for better quality ones, lets see if that solves my problem.

Regards

Giacomo.
