Pretty hectic on the roads this morning, pushed a few people up hills on way to work, pulled a few more out of trouble. My commute takes me from Nottingham -> Wilmslow via A515/Buxton/Cat and Fiddle so get to see the worst of it.

just had that fine snow that just doesn't do anything, it been like it all day, the 2" hasn't gone, but seems to be getting wetter and wetter as the day goes on

Yesterday evening Midlands news and weather were throwing up warnings etc and saying at least 2cm of snow with 6cm likely - opened the curtains this morning - not a thing just drizzle!!! If it wasn't raining I would have probably cut the grass |

Bit of a letdown I must say. Still some snow lying here but not much to write home about. My money is still safe as we head towards the last month of winter.

Hmm, not sure about the reasoning for our previous mild winter, the US had one of their coldest remember. The effect of that was to strengthen the Jetstream, causing it to flatten out and fire mild westerly's at us.
