Hi john i started at the basics, checked and adjusted tyre pressures this made a big difference.
I also changed the fuel filter, this instantly changed the mpg bringing it up to high 20z so i gave it a good run this then altered to 39mpg. So it seems to have worked

I am 12 years retired after 25 years with Ford and most diagnostic work i was involved with was on petrol.
At that time factory diagnostic equipment had preset parameters which could be overridden.
i.e. When checking a vehicle for an instrument fault it would also need engine to be run and you could get fault code for spark plugs out of range or air vane meter etc, if you did not have override on you could not progress to actual fault until new part fitted and correct readings obtained.
The actual vehicle may have been driving perfectly with no complaints.
Would NOT like to have to go back now, LR assistance from now on. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

Hi alanm1980,

Do you still have these codes on your Freely?

I picked up the same codes on mine over the last few weeks and then on further investigation found 3 split inter-cooler hoses... Big Cry

I've ordered new silicone hoses, but still awaiting delivery.
Hoping this will solve the problem on mine.

P02e8 correction

Just in case anyone else gets this trio of DTCs (like me Crying or Very sad ) that last one should be P02e8.

Can anyone confirm that there is no solenoid on a 2007 TD4 turbo with a servo motor-driven rotary actuator? I suspect mine is not moving the vanes (P0045) and the other two errors are caused by out of range values when the throttle is pushed. I will have to get under it and have a feel around. If I get an assistant to vary the throttle, should I be able to see the actuator pushing and returning? I understand the retaining clips do come off.

Is there anything else I should be checking?

My freelander used to do an average 26 - 29 mpg until I started to use Shell v power frequently now I average 36-42 mpg.

My mates freelander had similar codes which turned out to be a water filled air box as he drove through flood water which entered the air intake. This damaged the air flow meter and triggered boost faults etc.

Well I'm still one of the lowest mph owners all journeys and still average 24mpg using Shell V Power or shell Fuel save

I've decided today that I think this could be my last LR, going to look at something that returns decent mpg for my working life, issues I'll have though are my caravan tow limits Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
