The reservoir contains the none replaceable filter which seems to get clogged over time. So you have to change the reservoir to change the filter. The clogged filter starves the pump of fluid and this can cause as much damage through cavitation and poor lubrication as the weld spatter in some earlier vehicles. |

Hi There was this problem solved successfully ? if so how please was it a clip loose, an O-ring, or a bolted joint, I am asking as today I started the car travelled about 4 miles when I heard a whining coming from the car as got further down the road the steering became quite hard, right away I thought power steering, once I had pulled into a parking space I lifted the bonnet to find the power steering fluid was at the minimum.
