No bluetooth on 63 reg

Hi all,

New to this forum, usually on Disco4 and FFRR

Have now had 7 Freelanders. Just bought one of my employees a 63 reg FL to replace his 10 reg. There is phone buttons on the dash but it would seem no bluetooth module. Guessing its because its poverty spec ?

Just wondered if anyone has had a BT module fitted? If so what sort of money. Or maybe its just a tick box on the software that needs upgrading?

Could somebody help or do I need get a Parrot ? (Hands free, not a bird)

TIA Thumbs Up

If you don't have the green and red buttons on the steering wheel then you haven't got Bluetooth, looks like a Parrot then. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

Red and Green buttons are on the centre console only. I'd worked out there was no bluetooth just wondering if a module can be retro fitted?

For what it's worth. The bluetooth module is actually in the back of the car roughly above the fuel filler cap and it's connected via a fibre optic cable to the radio module. I know that some people have had problems connecting their phones because they put them near the centre console where you expect it to get a good signal but it's not the case. Smile

Cheers for that @Dorsetfreelander

I've checked the build spec for this car and bluetooth prep was not included. Thought they would all have it these days. At least I know where it needs to be fitted if it is possible to retro fit?
