Strange noise

Hi. have just driven home from a friends and have noticed a noise. Only way I can describe it is that it sounds like a transmission wine. Just had a service done by non LR garage and all was OK. Any ideas where I should start to look? Sad

if it sounds like a transmission whine, then the transmission would be a good place to start Thumbs Up
followed by rear diff, drive shaft, wheel bearings, haldex, tyres - FL2 3.2 i6 - There is no Replacement for Displacement

If my wife ever sells my stuff for what I told her I paid for it, there will be some bargains out there!

Disco933 - you need to do some basic diagnosis first: Does the noise appear to come from front or back, left or right? With power on or off, going fast or slow, in or out of gear? On the straight, on bends or tight turns, left or right? On certain road surfaces or all?
