I am still having problems with my key fob. I find that I have to press the fob very hard to open/unlock the doors. And sometimes, it won't lock at all, unless I restart the engine for a minute or two.
I don't want to go a spend a lot of money on buying a new fob and having it programmed, but will, if I can't get this sorted.
There is a company on Ebay who are offering to 'repair' fobs etc and install new batteries. Not sure if they are any good though. I did buy a new battery for one of the fobs, but could not manage to remove the old one, despite trying to heat the old solder.

Don't know of anyone actually using the "Refurb Service" on eBay, but if you are sure you don't want to attempt it yourself, you've got nothing to lose, if it doesn't work out you've lost £39.99.

If I went down the "Refurb Route" I would get someone else to with there own EBay account rather than my own, as you will be sending your Fob to someone you don't know from Adam, who has your Fob and address, so knows exact where it is likely to be parked.

I had to change the batteries in both of mine this week, someone else did the soldering.
I am sure the fob repair company will do a decent job, they work on and sell quite a large range of fobs.
Otherwise buy a new case and battery and have a go yourself, if you are not competent at fine soldering then get someone local to do it.
It is very unlikely the fob company will be able to do any more than this.
My only worry with the fob company would be the fob getting lost in the post.
