My FL2 my13 is due for the 2nd service and as I'm based in Leicester have phoned around for quotes.
Lowest from Witton Street at £240
Nene Valley (nthampton) £401
Stratstone (Nott) £405
Marshall (M. Mobray) £565
Sturgess and Guy Salmon to ring back.

Anyone can recommend a cheaper/good service centre I'd be very happy.
Or warn me off any dodgy ones I'd also appreciate.

I have used Stratton Nottingham for the past two years all was good the first time as was the loan car but last time I went they did not have a loan car as promised leaving me stuck in Nottingham they also phoned me telling me I needed tires replacing and the turbo was misting, when I told them not to either of these it provoked quite a discussion! they also told me that my gear change was "clunky" and they had greased the cable to alleviate the "clunkyness".

I got another 8 months out of the tires before having winters put on and they were still legal the turbo misting was easily self sorted as for greasing the gear change cable I guess they just put a dab of grease on each end and hoped for the best.

I may give them the benefit of the doubt this year but have time to make my mind up yet, I am told by a patient of mine that there is an independent LR specialist in Twyford near Melton called County Mechanical Services who he rates highly so I may even give them a ring anyone know of them?

Was about to warn you off Nene Valley then realized I Was confusing them with Nene Overpriced so NV probably ok. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

I've booked it into Sturgess at £401. I was unsure about the £240 at the indy as it's got no recommendations that I can find and £401 was after some bargaining. Sturgess has been good on my short experience of them.
