United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
General Grabber GT's in the snow

I know a few people are thinking of buying these so thought I would give some feedback on their performance. First things first, I am a very average driver who drives defensively in bad conditions (engine braking etc). It was -2 and the route was a mixture of ice, slush, 5 inches of lying snow and hilly. The level of grip was truly amazing for an all season tyre. At no point did I lose traction-in fact the FL2 didn't even squirm about under me. It just kept on plowing through whatever it came up against in a perfect straight line. I have had three FL2's. The first had Wrangers fitted, the second Nokian Winters and the last one Grabber GT's. The GT's gave me the same level of confidence as the Nokian's in the snow. If like me you don't do too many miles and mainly do journeys of less than 30 miles from home I would buy these and change them more regularly rather than buy a separate set of winters. Coupled with Land Rover engineering, I can't imagine any conditions that we get in the UK stopping you from reaching your destination.

That's good to hear, I wanted to head out and test mine in the snow, but 2 bottle of champagne, 2 bottles of red and copious amounts of lager, cider and anything else meant driving was off limits

Hope we get some more so I can have a blast Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.
