Mad about freelanders just change my 2012 xs for 2013 hse auto the I'm very pleased its my first auto and its brilliant to drive, the cars media/satnav is great to use. I've bought side steps and body door moulding to fit after Christmas once fitted it will be a close 3rd to Mav's car.

I've got to say anyone thinking about buying a freelander test drive a automatic first before you decide weather to go for a manual or automatic because driving the auto is fantastic. 2013 hse auto, black, almond leather, exnon lights, factory privacy glass, exhaust finisher, rear boot spoiler, mud flaps. I have had autos with company cars in the past but always manual for my own cars. I like manuals, but in this day and age auto is the way to go.

The auto with the petrol if you are not careful takes off like a rocket. Still learning to find that fine line with the accelerator as 99% of the time I don't need the car to kick down a gear. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Last month i was done for speeding on holiday in the Lakes, I went on a speed awareness course. Better than a fine and points on your licence.

I’ve found driving the auto is easy to keep to the speed limit. Were with a manual to dive at 30 mph in 3rd gear the car sound like you need to change up, when you change up you need to drive at 35 mph, with the auto you just dive, Its great  2013 hse auto, black, almond leather, exnon lights, factory privacy glass, exhaust finisher, rear boot spoiler, mud flaps. Photos or its all just a Christmas dream

The autos are nice but I don't think the manuals will disappear altogether, perhaps in large vehicles the coaches at work now use automated manuals (Volvo I-Shift) a good bit of kit. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Hi j77 yes I think your right, a mate of mine had a Saab about 10 years ago which was semi-auto with a gear stick but it had no clutch pedle.

Like my Freelander 2 more than any car I have ever owned. Always amazes me how well it goes off road.
