Flickering Satnav Screen!

I hope someone can help?

My screen (2007)has interference, a bit like a bad signal with a TV, honeycomb effect with flickering lines. The screen jumps around without any input. Please see pics. The DVD unit was sent to Denso and been returned all OK. I have the screen out to check connections at back but all seem ok even with a bit of wiggling! The screen is fine on screensaver and navigation settings but not when on map.
I have been told that a wiring connection, the blue one, to the DVD unit can be a problem due to poor crimping, but it's difficult to see the best way of fixing. Its driving me mad!

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I have a similar problem with my 2009 model version, menu screen is perfect, but sat nav has colour changes, rather like a computer screen when the plug is a bit loose. Wiggled connectors under front seat and has an effect. Need to find out how to remove DVD unit and clean up the connectors. 09 FL2 HSE auto Lago Grey

Hi
Thanks for your post. I'm pretty sure one of the cables/connector, the blue one is picking up interference. Trying to find out what type of connector and cable it is, then get one made up and replace to see if that does the trick.

when i was trying to install a GVIF i had the same problem, its all down to the blue connector it only has 2 really thin wires in it with a foil shield. try wrapping some tin foil round it to see if that works. the dvd unit itself is only held down by 4 screws, real easy to remove. I6 WITH GAS CONVERSION

Interesting, I shall take mine out and give the connectors a clean and see what happens.
I can see the four fixing bolts now I have moved the seat fully forward, does anyone know if there is much slack on the cables?
My seat will not go back far enough to enable me to get my hand at the connectors.
