Has there been a design change for later models? On my car both latches are identical and comprise the U part which is attached (there's a single nut on the rear leg of the U, but whether that's the only attachment I'm not sure) to a plate which is then itself attached (spot welded?) to the bonnet frame. The whole thing is rigid, with no give at all. |
