United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

I find the LR paint to be very high quality and have frequently added a bit more wax, this keeps the water beading so the dirt falls off. washing becomes a matter of blasting with a hose then rubbing down with a drying towel and a bit of wax.... lets see what its like in a dirty winter though Confused At work

Hey NP didn't know you were our resident detailer, looks like a great job there Thumbs Up

The timing of your post is quite ironic because today, for the first time, I've put my car through a car wash, so while you're going to the top of the class I've gone to the other end of the scale. Shocked

I had to set of on a works trip this afternoon, part of my job this week involves picking up some overseas visitors and ferrying them around the UK in my car; it was in need of a good wash but I just ran out of time. It had a really good clean after Tong but nothing since (though I still can't get all the mud off the tyres!)

What would you recommend for cleaning the dashboard? I was cleaning the windscreen with a turtle wax product, I sprayed it into the winscreen (should sprayed on the cloth!) and got some over spray on the dashboard, wiped the dash with a fine mf cloth and have ended up with streaks on the dash. Went out and got a dash cleaner (matt) but the streaks are still there. Any advice? (promise I wont use the car wash again!)

I really must get around to buying one of those foam guns!

Although the paint looks and feels great, I've found a few 'spots' on mine that weren't apparent when I took delivery. Nothing to be concerned about but about 4-5 little blemishes that my Audi never had.

Luckily I'm in a forgiving mood!

i would use an all purpose cleaner

I use Meguires APC, but i have heard the Tesco Daisy All Purpose Cleaner (household cleaning section) is really good too, and about £12 cheaper Embarassed , dilute it 10:1 and start from there Thumbs Up

There reapply your dash sealant on the cloth Exclamation Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

these are 'spots' in the paintwork, where there was either an air bubble or something. they are baked in, but to be honest, I can forgive Land Rover because has got to be the best car I've had. I thought I'd pushed the boat out on the full Meguiars range until I saw what you'd used!

The spots on the paint work should be covered under the paintwork warranty, next time your at the dealer, get them to look at them

I suppose it all depends on how visible and bothered about them you are Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
