235/60 R18 Thumbs Up
Going wider with snow tyres is the wrong way to go about it, ideally they would be narrower, in the UK we won't get prolonged deep snow that would warrant that option.

I didn't realise that these wheels were available in Sparkle Silver as well.

Mine are the diamond cut versions, but may get them done gloss black or high power silver for next Winter!

LR introduced the silver sparkle version as standard on the 13MY Evoques, I don't think the polished ones were popular. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Hi Taz, are yours 225/55 r18? Would there be much difference in ride, grip, noise, etc over the 17s? I am looking for some winter tyres and wheels, so will be looking at overall cost difference as there is about £100 between the 18 vs 17 tyres not checked out wheels yet. Thanks. Rich.

I would get the standard FL2 tyre size for what ever rims you choose. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Ipanema Sand

Winters went on this morning.
Decided to pay kwik fit rather than do it myself this time. They only use torque wrenches now, no air guns in sight.
£27 well spent IMO.

Surprising how small the 18" 10 spoke sparkle alloys look against the 19"s.

I along with a few others have the Nokian SUV 3's. My colleagues in Scandanavia all recommended Nokian. Top end Winter tyres!

Be aware though that the first 100 miles or so will feel crap until they bedded in. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Fuji White

As above Nokian WR SUV 3 were fully recommended by Finnish colleagues and they have won a number of tyre tests. Although we haven't had snow at home they have felt superb for grip in the cold and wet weather.

And I thought it was just me!
Felt like my wheels worked like castors when I put the new winter Nokians on last year.
But all sorted itself out within 100 miles use, then gave excellent grip in all conditions. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

That's why I thought mine felt " floaty" the other week, called into the garage and pushed the valve inside the wheel
All sorted now and very very grippy Thumbs Up

I have done about 400 miles now, and you kind of take them for granted. Went in a friends FL2 with 19" Conti's last night after the Santa run and it's then you realise how good the winters are in cold wet conditions. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
