That was brilliant Nut! I am going to keep that one for use another time! Love it
Actually a Freelander HSE Luxury badge and ordered from LR as a Freelander badge. Yes I agree it is the same as the Disco badge. Look on the web at what they call the Metropolis in every other Country excluding the UK and Russia. Oh yes, it's the HSE Luxury. My V5 actually states "HSE Luxury SD4 Auto, so I think I have the right to have a badge that states this. Please do not question the subject of things stuck on my car, and making it out to be something it isn't! Petrol exhaust on a turbo diesel, and your point is what? You may find that your exhaust is not specific to diesel and is sold for both petrol and diesel cars. So your view point is flawed on this one. You have bitten because we have discussed the KAHN stuff in general terms and the question on why it is called a conversion, without any mention what so ever of you or your car. Why are you not having a go at others who posted with negative comments about the KAHN parts in this thread? Did I in anyway slate or slag off your actual car in this thread? Did I mention you and get personal with you in this thread? No I didn't, but you feel you can slate mine and get personal with me. I am sure that there are people on here who don't like my car and don't like what I have done to it. That's cool, I don't take it personally. You say we all have opinions, but I am not allowed to have one? Know one got personal with you Ed, so why get personal back? But I love the picture you put up! Everyone knows that I am the only active member who has a Kahn Converted Freelander I have the documents from Kahn and my insurance company also recognised it and I have had a tracker fitted in the vehicle as per request. Two things annoyed my about you comments and they were aimed at me ; 1. Wing badges knowing well fine that I have these - How are they badly placed ? Before you became an LR owner some D2 and some FL1's amongst other LR's had specification badges placed on the wings! ALL Land Rover Special Vehicles had badges placed on the wings also - So your comment is nonsense. 2. Reduction in residual value is untrue just take a look at what Kahn converted vehicles sell for! My Dynamic is far from standard spec...extras I specc'ed from new were Heated windscreen + water jets (cold climate pack) Heated leather steering wheel Rear view camera Memory seats Grand black lacquer Full size spare wheel Raised roof rails with crossbars Fixed towbar with twin electrics Coded body mouldings Coded D pillars Gloss black rear treadplate Genuine Land Rover rear in car entertainment (monitors in headrest) Rubber mats and boot liner I have no problem with your initial question it was when in became personal that I spoke my opinion and yes you have every right to tell me where to stick it My comments about your car was not a dig at you as such I was commenting on the bits of your car that are not standard that's all As mentioned yes my car does not have interior work done as I felt it would be a shame to rip out the interior from a brand new car, especially as mine is ebony/pimento leather with the pimento door cards. Pimento leather is a rare combo on a FL and many Range Rovers owners were not happy that it was made available on the cheapest LR model! It has always been reserved for the prestige Range Rover brand When I ordered my car back in October 2013 no dealer in Scotland had an actual Dynamic with ebony/pimento interior as all the dealers stated that for some reason we order demo dynamics in full back leather only! This is another reason why I did not opt to change the interior. As you are aware pimento is not available anymore on the FL and it's only now reserved again for the RR! Having said that it is an option available on the Defender at a silly price and I habe yet to see one My car is classed as a Stage 1 Cosworth Conversion and I have the appropriate documents to verify this so please also do not question if I have a right to call my car this..... 22" Cosworth alloys Quad polished stainless full exhaust (DPF back) Stainless steel Kahn door sill plates Kahn only class vehicles and badge them (at an extra fee) £500 for the bonnet and tailgate scripts if the vehicles are taken to them to have the conversion carried out! The wing badges and boot badge are an extra fee ... I been fortunate enough to have had two brand new cars and still do. A FL1 and a FL2, I've worked my bloody socks of for these vehicles. I was born into a family of Landies and it has rubbed off on me as you can see! I'm not some idiot who shouts and screams look at me. When we owned LR's it was a time when they were not a fashion statement and were very very unrealiable! Had it not been for my family and the likes of thousands of others who still purchased these money pits we would not be having this discussion! Can't argue with what you have put Ed, and I don't think anyone can argue about your enthusiasm for the Land Rover brand.
