izmir blue anyone??

hi everyone,
just joined and have really enjoyed reading all posts.
had a test drive yesterday and LOVED the fl2.
not sure which colour to order - salesman says stornoway grey and black most popular.
like the look of izmir blue but no vehicles on show with that colour.
has anyone got this colour??
what do you think??

I have seeing one Izmir at the dealership few days ago. It looks very very nice. In my opinion one of best colours that I see for Freelander2. Yuri

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey

Hi Elaine.

We could not make our mind up either we liked both colours. Eventually decided on the Stornoway grey and got delivery just over a week a go now. We are pleased we picked this colour it looks great in the sun.

I saw the stornaway grey and the blue at the launch, I agree with every one the stornaway grey looks great, so great I bought one. My dealer has told me the stornaway is the best seller by far and he has a waiting list for the stornaway SE

If you wan something cool and different, Izmir is the way Stormoway is also very nice but you are going to see much more. Izmir is like a silver blue; interesting colour. I liked it!

Yes I like it... i've seen it today. It look like a gray with a little bit of blu/velvet sky in it. Very elegant.
In truth I like all the palette of colors, even the ecletic orange that is one of my fav. Only red looks boring to me .
Of course I bought a stormway gray becouse of I was impatient and all the cars ready to buy were of that colour or sand.

I haven’t seen the Atacama Sand, it can be interesting. Yes; I really like the Tambora Flame (orange).
I start to see one on November in Tambora, but it wasn’t already available a TD4 ComandShift. Finally; I bite the dust... I still waiting my Java Back... LR RRS Yuri

One of my colleagues has a GS in Izmir Blue, looks very nice. Sat alongside my Stornoway Grey GS ... well they both looked bloody nice! The blue being a lighter colour might be better at disguising how dirty the car is, I'm noticing this with the Stornoway grey compared with my last 3 cars which have been silver. But you're more likely to notice this if you are a high mileage driver. From the point of view of standing out in a crowd then there are plenty of us with Stornoway Grey so maybe the Izmir blue would look a bit different.
