Hi thanks for that. My radio on FM (DAB preferable but bad reception in my area) tries repeatidly to break up possibly indicating a bad ariel connection somewhere or the signal needs boosting! On a trip out with a friend today his 2014 HSE Lux was perfect on the same chanel.
The local dealer has drawn a blank so far so not sure what to do next.

Thanks for that but my rear screen does not seem to affect it. Still hoping something or a piece of advice will turn up to rectify the problem eventually!

Radio reception now sorted-
.
Following a few visits to my local dealer and a demonstration trip out with their workshop controller plus a comparison trip in one of their vehicles also a few calls to technical, they said certain parts were needed to rectify it!

My pride and joy was booked in for the work and in them checking the vehicle it was found that the ariel was disconnected in the headlining of the boot! No parts needed after all !
This has transformed my enjoyment of my motor and it's fantastic sound system. It is brilliant on FM now and also on DAB. My area is a little patchy on DAB within a short distance of home traveling North and East.

I had cause to use FM on Monday for the first time, as I was driving through the Welsh mountains. The DAB signal was less than useless, yet got Radio 2 fine on FM. Sounded fantastic, and not too dissimilar to DAB on the Meridian system. Glad you got it all sorted. Foraging near Gaydon....

Cheers

My FM was very intermittent but had it not been I would not have queried the quality of the DAB not having had experience of it before in a Freel2, even the local dealer said that it was patchy round here in East Lancashire!

At least it's all sorted now and I can enjoy the music system as it was intended.

I really hope the government doesn't force us all to go "digital only" and abandon the analogue frequencies. Where I live, significant areas are MW-only, not even FM. In the house it's either MW or Internet.

I think we should have gone the American route, with satellite radio rather than DAB. Having tried it in Canada, it's fantastic.

Some years ago from 2pm to 4pm there was a shortage of satellites over Australia so farmers could not sow their crops. Hopefully there is a spare satellite.

In Australia forget about FM for distance. It has to be AM and even then you have better chances of reception at night. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Now they've had a mess around in your headlining, watch out for an annoying rattle that you can't quite place, that turns out to be the rear window washer pipe coming loose up there. (Speaking from bitter 2 visits to the dealer experience) Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic

Just done a trip from Skipton to Robin Hoods Bay over the North York Moors.
Radio reception was extremely patchy on both FM and DAB.
DAB was continually 'screeching' and FM was intermittent crackle. Reception not bad as we went past Fylingdales!
The car has been in twice before with this reception problem and it's going in again.
The numerous posts on this topic clearly shows problems with aerial connections.
I just cannot believe that all the owners living in this area are putting up with this, so this makes me believe the problem still exsists in my car. One Discovery, gone
