Ill chip in here. Had the same issue with heat and groaning mirror. Had it lubricated at the dealer (only had it a week) and it hasn't helped. There is very obvious wear where it seems to be rubbing when hot. I'm assuming something is out of line.

When I used WD-40 it went away! As it was advised to use another form of lubrication I used some silicone spray. The heat definitely caused my mirrors to creak when opeing or closing. Have you tried lubing them yourself? From new I noticed mine had ever so slight chafing marks on the black plastic. To be honest my biggest concern was in winter they might not open and break Rolling Eyes MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I have some spray lubricant (American?) called "Strikehold".

It seems to be wonderful, so far I'd recommend it on all accounts apart from cost.

Has anybody else used it? Series 2A 1961, 1975-78, made to last forever.

I usually spray Some circuit cleaner to clean all the mechanisms, then 10 mins later i spray grease ( eg cycle chain grease) .
It seems to do the trick.

Bought it on-line years ago from the UK distributor, it was about £16 Shocked

The manufacturer has a website with some amazing videos of its claimed capabilities. Series 2A 1961, 1975-78, made to last forever.

Well yesterday the drivers mirror gave up on me (12 degrees Celsius) shocking for brand new MY14 vehicle with low miles! Today I folded them in from inside the vehicle (we're pretty much folded in anyway) and pulled them forward and then back to the normal position to deactive them powerfolding when locking/unlocking the vehicle.

Before doing this I did apply some lubricant and actual grease but no joy Rolling Eyes I'm guessing the motor has popped Neutral

It's a bit worrying as this is a vehicle that has reached the end of its life and still there is niggles such as these! Still being not new to LR's I know that if they don't break down or give you some sort of bother well then it ain't really a real Landie Laughing Rolling with laughter

I just wonder what part has failed ........ MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

press the buttons to fold them in (hold left and right buttons for a few seconds)

then get out and manual move each mirror back out is easiest way Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Also you should be able to fold them in as npink says then get out and lock the car, then they will stay ( folded ) until you get in and repress the unfold buttons. Least this way you don't have to go around pushing your mirrors, but wont unfold into traffic when opening with the remote.

least you can with older models Thumbs Up

So once inside just push L and R together until they fold in Freelander 57 plate XS Blue Auto
